Our Classes

Our experienced team supports new students to learn the fundamentals of ceramics and our more advanced students in higher level skills development.

Our teachers are guided by you and what your needs are when you join us.

  • THE WHEEL

The most popular way to make ceramics. In essence, wheel throwing is simply shaping clay on the potter’s wheel. Our teachers guide and support you with instruction as well as inspiration.

This course will allow our students to learn the fundamentals of throwing on the potter’s wheel while continuing students can further their mastery of clay, form, construction and surface technique.

For students over the age of 16 years.

  • HAND-BUILDING

You will explore how basic hand-building techniques like coiling, slab-building, the pinch pot, and surface treatment can be used to create one-of-a-kind forms. A very relaxing form of making.

Our teachers guide students of all skill levels through the oldest form of making ceramics. Once you have experience with a few basic techniques, you can make your own vessels, functional tableware, and sculptural forms.

For students over the age of 16 years.

  • Term Taster | $120

This two hour class is a great way to test the water if you are thinking of learning pottery. A taste into what you can create and how you can expect to grow as a potter.

At the end of the class you pick one item that you have made and we will have that trimmed, glazed and fired for you to collect three weeks later.

Choose either The Wheel (most popular for a Taster class) OR Hand-Building (when available). This is a great intro to ceramics and we guarantee you will have fun! Book now.

  • Term Classes | $345 - $640

Our term classes run for either 4 or 8 weeks. All tools, clay, glazing and firing are included in the price of the term.

Our teachers guide and support you through the design & making process, trimming your work, construction, surface decoration and glazing techniques.

Can’t decide if The Wheel or Hand-Building is for you? Then try our ‘Mix’ class, which is a 4 week term, with a structure to try out both. Great for first timers.

Term bookings open a few weeks prior to the start of our term and do sell out fast.

  • Private Group Classes

We regularly run a variety of private group bookings for both corporate and personal occasions. It’s a great activity for team bonding or just a fun social event for friends and family. We also have small private groups that wish to book out a studio space to themselves on a regular basis.

Times are set outside our general class times that are listed on our booking page.

Please get in touch with our team if you would like to discuss options and pricing. Catering can be arranged by request. We look forward to assisting with your requirements.
