What to wear

We advise you wear clothes you won’t mind getting some clay on. Aprons are provided however it can get a little messy!

What you will learn

Clay & studio preparation, throwing on the pottery wheel, how to knead and roll your clay, how to hand build simple form, trimming / turning, and glaze techniques.

Appropriate for

Students of all skill levels.

Classes are suited to ages 14 and above, however younger potters are welcome to come with a parent/ guardian. Contact us to find out more.

Parking & getting there

The Wheelhouse is located on the corner of City Road and Montague Street in South Melbourne at 528 City Road.

Public transport is available, the 234 bus will drop you off at the front door and the 109 tram (stop 26 Montague street) is just a short walk away.

Free parking is available across the road at Sol Green Reserve.
