1 off classes are perfect for beginners to experience the art of throwing on a potter’s wheel.
1 off classes are $80 for a 2 hour session. You will make 2-3 pieces, then pick one to be fired and glazed by us later. Your work will be ready to be picked up after 2 weeks. The cost includes your tuition, clay, tools, glaze and the firing of 1 piece. There will be a charge of $10 per additional items.
Private workshops and group classes are available for booking. If you’re looking for a creative and unique experience for a special occasion The Wheelhouse can offer a personalised session.

7 to 12 – $600*
Weekly classes are for beginners and all skill levels in wheel throwing, hand building and specialised workshops. The 4 week term is $250, comprising of 4 x 2hr sessions specialising in either the Wheel throwing or Handbuilding. Class times vary and you will attend the same time slot each week over the duration of the course.
You will have access have unlimited access to tools, clay and glaze. The cost of firing your pieces are also included in the price. You will progress at your own pace and make several pieces over the duration of the course to take home.

This practical hands on course is designed for beginners with no experiences and students who have had experience on the potter’s wheel. New students will learn the fundamentals of throwing on the potter’s wheel, while continuing students can further their exploration of clay, form, surface and glaze techniques. The aim is to explore new skills, develop your personal throwing style by utilising a wide range of pottery techniques in a relaxed and friendly environment.
This practical hands on course is designed for beginners with no experiences and students who have had some hand building experience. Explore how basic hand building techniques like coiling, slab building and surface treatment can be used to create one of a kind forms. You will learn your own creative style.
